DESIGNER BAGS
From a young age, I`ve been fascinated by designer bags. There`s something special about a well made bag, the smell of leather, the perfect stiching, the feeling of craftsmanship that never gets old. My heart belongs to the timeless pieces from Chanel, Hermès and Louis Vuitton. They`re not only beautifully made but often hold or even increase their value over time. How amazing is that buying your dream bag and seeing it become even more valuable over the years.
eBay auctions
My journey began in the late 2000s, I discovered how vibrant the market for designer bags was on eBay. Japanse sellers were offering hundreds of bags and accessoires through auctions every day mostly from the brands I admired most. Since I already owned a few of these bags myself, I became more and more curious about how that market worked.
MY FIRST VINTAGE FIND
I noticed that my Chanel bags kept their value, while others, like Gucci didn`t perform as well. That sparked my curiosity. I started studying the market, paying attention to which models sold well, and realized there was growing interest in secondhand designer pieces in the Netherlands. My first purchase was from Japan the ultimate destination for vintage designer bags. It was a classic Chanel, which I later sold at a profit through the now defunct platform Designer - Vintage. That experience made me want to continue, and in 2013 I founded The Perfect Vintage Bag my first business focused on buying and selling pre-owned designer bags and accessoires. What started as a personal passion developed into a solid understanding of brands, materials, and market value.
REVALUE MY BAG
At some point, I wanted a change something calmer. That`s when i began focusing on the appraisal and authentication of designer bags. In the furture, I also want to focus on sourcing and selling vintage designer accessories.
